Thankfully, the dishwasher was invented to make our lives easier.

All you need to do is rinse the plate and put it in the dishwasher as quickly as possible, right? It may not be a fun task but the dishwasher is designed to make it easier.

Have you ever noticed the dishwasher fails to get the dishes as clean as they need to be.

It might be our fault and not the dishwasher. Did you know that rinsing the dishes before they are placed inside of the dishwasher might actually be doing more harm than good? As it turns out, the dishwasher is a far more intelligent machine than we have realized initially.

These machines are designed to do all of this work for us. When we scrape the plates clean before placing them inside, we are actually making their job far more difficult than need be. The dishwasher has a sensor that will detect the presence of food particles. Most dishwashers are believed to have this sensor and this has a dramatic effect on the cleaning process.

If the dishwasher’s sensors believe that the plates are already clean, the process isn’t as thorough. This is why so many of us are let down by the dishwasher’s performance. Little did we know that we were actually sabotaging the machines this entire time. The dishwasher is also going to run a much shorter cycle when it believes that the dishes are already clean.

As you can see, those who do not believe in the usage of dishwashers are not all wrong. However, there is a happy medium to be found here. While you should still allow a dishwasher to remove all of the food debris that leads to unclean dishes.

Good news is you do not have to work as hard as you once thought. Sharing is caring, pass this onto friends who need a break!
