Ingredient

1 tablespoon vegetable or olive oil·
2 onions, finely chopped·
3 celery sticks, finely chopped·
2 cloves garlic, crushed·
2kg beef mince·
2 x 400g cans diced tomatoes·
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce·
1 cup tomato paste·
2 large beef stock cubes
Recipe
1. Heat oil in a
large saucepan over moderate heat. Add onions and celery; cook and stir for 5
minutes or until soft. Add garlic; cook and stir for 1 minute or until
fragrant. Add mince; cook, stirring to break up lumps, for 5 minutes or until
browned.2. Add tomatoes,
Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, crumbled stock cubes and 2 cups water.
Bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer, stirring occasionally, for 40 minutes
or until thick.
