Heart Of The Ocean (Part 2) – Take The Plunge

Take The Plunge

The good news is
that blue shades, unless they are frosted,
complement Indian skin tones well. That there are so many shades in the azure colour family makes it
easier to
choose a shade appropriate
for your complexion.

The Basics

From pastels and
jewel tones to neons and
electric
blues, there’s no dearth of shades. But before yougo wild on colours, begin
with prepping your skin with
a
hydrating face and body lotion. Plumped up skin sets
the right canvas for makeup. A good idea also is to use a skin renewer just the night before you hit the
beach. We
love marine concentrate
creams and lotions by Clinique
and
Kiehl’s.

Extra Edge

Next in line is
tinted moisturiser,
preferably
oil-free. Follow this up with a concealer,
especially under the eyes. For those who flush a lot in the sun, a serum is a must before makeup. Finish with
a light
dusting of green-blue loose powder that helps tone down the redness. Use a cheek stain instead of blush
to get just
a hint of colour on their
cheeks.
