Megan found the varying obstacles of the reality show, which followed eight celebrities as they checked into a detox center for drastic treatments, to be too much to handle.
Megan decided after only one episode that the show was too much for her and abruptly left production, much to the surprise of the executives behind the show.
Megan reportedly told viewers after leaving the show, “It has just been so hard, mentally and physically. I can’t fully invest in the treatments because I’ve got so much work to do on myself before I can be here. I feel like I’m not ready.”
She felt that she had taken on more than she could handle, as one TV source put it: “The ‘treatments’ are really full-on and quite radical, and she just felt like she had bitten off more than she could chew.”
To paraphrase the producer, “It wasn’t the show’s fault, they were upfront about what she was signing up for, but Megan didn’t really appreciate the reality of how intense it all would be until she got on set.”
