Zerwirk
Built
in 1264 as a bathhouse, this building (the second-oldest in Munich) has
been a falcon house, a brewery and a theatre. It is now a vegan
restaurant, a literary salon and a club. It is currently very popular
with the trendy Glockenbach crowd.-

Volksgarten Club & Garden
The
name gives it away: this club has a large garden with palm trees, water
and a sand beach that makes it a popular choice in the summer. Come for
Friday’s black beat and house night (“Das Volksbegehren”) or Saturday’s
“Die Macht der Nacht”.-

Muffathalle
A
former heating plant, this large hall opens only for scheduled events
such as concerts, theatre, dance performances, and readings. The café is
open daily except Sundays. This is one of the most beautiful venues in
the city, located right behind the Müller’sche Volksbad, and has a
lovely beer garden that beckons in summer.-

P1
Hangout
of FC Bayern football club players and other celebrities, with a
reputation that reaches far beyond Munich. Extremely strict doormen are
infamous for refusing entry to “ordinary folk.” On weekdays, P1 feels
like a lounge rather than a nightclub.-
