Once upon a time, the wealthy and famous would resort to filler injections and botox to maintain their young appearances for as long as possible.

Countless celebrities, including Brits like Molly-Mae Hague. Megan McKenna and Courteney Cox, have opted for alterations.

All of the aforementioned celebrities, however, have eschewed fillers and Botox in favor of a more natural appearance as Botox usage declines in the UK.

The number of cosmetic facial treatments performed in the United Kingdom has dropped by 7.5% as compared to the previous year, according to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

Those who spearheaded the’make-under’ trend appear to be the ones driving the popularity of injectable age-defying operations.

Stars on both sides of the Atlantic appear to be reverting treatments because neither is long-lasting.

Here, we take a look at all the famous faces that have ditched their artificially enhanced features…

  • Molly-Mae Hague

Molly-Mae, the former Love Island star, had her lip and jaw filler dissolved and her composite bonding veneers removed in 2021, saying she was ‘terrified of myself’ when she looked at images.

She admitted that by the time she was 21, she didn’t recognize herself because she had undergone a number of cosmetic treatments.

She stated on the podcast The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett: ‘I wouldn’t say I got addicted to it, but by the age of 21, I didn’t look like the same person.

‘I literally looked like a different person. When I look back at pictures now, I’m terrified of myself. I’m like, “Who was that girl?” I don’t know what happened. ‘

She admits she went to the ‘extreme’ with her fillers and now feels more at ease in her own skin than she ever has.

‘I literally took it to the extreme and I just stripped myself back and weirdly, I felt the prettiest I’d ever felt, once it had all gone.’

  • Kylie Jenner

Kylie first began to look different in 2014, when, at the age of 17, she unveiled her plumped pout – but initially denied using fillers.

Kylie’s face and figure continued to change during her late teen years, with some plastic surgeons guessing that she had a nose job, boob job, and liposuction.

She ultimately admitted to some of her cosmetic changes, revealing that she initially got lip fillers as a teen after a boy commented on how amazed he was that she was such a fantastic kisser with her’small’ lips.

In a fall 2016 interview with Complex, she admitted to going ‘too far’ with the injections at first.

She stated: ‘When you first get them done, you’re like, ‘Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.’ I’d go back and be like, ‘They went down’ and think they could be bigger.

‘But I went too far. It was very painful,’

Kylie Jenner prompted speculation last month that she had dissolved her lip filler again after sporting a thinner pout at Coachella.

The reality star was spotted at a music festival in California over Easter, and admirers immediately noticed that she looked different.

While Kylie has not responded to the allegations, she recently stated that becoming a mother forced her to appreciate her natural beauty.

  • Courteney Cox

Courteney Cox previously claimed that after receiving cosmetic treatments, she ‘didn’t realize’ how’strange’ she looked.

The actress claimed she tried numerous ‘injections’ and other therapies to avoid getting older, but she soon realized she had gone ‘crazy’ and is now attempting to age gracefully.

During an appearance on the podcast Gloss Angeles last month, she revealed the painful cycle she went through to maintain her appearances and expressed regret over having the operations done.

While Courteney originally thought she looked OK after getting the fillers, it wasn’t until much later that she realized how ‘wrong’ she really looked.

‘Thinking I was getting older when I was really young,’ she began. ‘That’s just a bummer, a waste of time; it’s a domino effect, it’s like you don’t realise that you look a little off, so then you keep doing more cause you look normal to yourself and you look in the mirror and go, ‘Oh, that looks good,” she said.

‘You don’t realise what it looks like to the outside person and just doing too many fillers and then having to have them removed, which thank god they are removable, but I think I messed up a lot and now luckily I can, I was able to reverse most of that, and now I’m actually just older.’

Courteney expresses surprise everytime she comes across old images of herself from her early days.

‘I look at pictures of me from when I thought I looked okay, and I can’t believe it,’ she admitted.

  • Charlotte Crosby

Charlotte Crosby shows off her damaged lips after having her filler removed in December 2022.

The former Geordie Shore star, 32, updated fans in a YouTube video after opting for a more natural look.

Eight years after having work done on her lips, she recorded herself visiting a beautician and having her luscious pout deflated.

‘Something has changed inside me,’ she informed her fans.

Charlotte claimed she was going to have her lip fillers removed, adding she never believed she’d’see the day’ when she initially adjusted her lips in 2014 that she’d choose for a more natural look.

After years of cosmetic treatment, Chloe Sims disclosed in 2021 that she was having her fillers dissolved in order to obtain a more natural look.

She wrote on Instagram about her development at the time: ‘I’m really happy that I’ve toned it all down and as you know I think it’s important to be honest with things like this. It’s my personal choice and that makes me feel confident. Thanks Vogue Aesthetics.’

Chloe was obliged to respond to trolls who accused her of having surgery and changing her appearance back in December.

Chloe adamantly asserted that she had had cosmetic treatment, such as fillers, but had not gone under the knife to change her appearance.

She went on: ‘Surgery is changing the structure of your bones in your face. I’ve had cosmetic treatments, yes, but that’s not surgery.
