The 21-year-old is a part of the LSU gymnastics team, where she competes with the millionaire Dunne, who is widely regarded as one of the most famous and valued collegiate athletes in the world.

Arenas, a lovely brunette, has amassed over 148,000 Instagram followers and is a popular figure on the photo-sharing app, where she receives constant praise from adoring fans.

Arenas’ most recent picture features her stunning purple gymnast attire, prompting her partner to quip in the comments section: “We should snap”.

Her fiance, LSU baseball pitcher Garrett Edwards, is an avid follower of Arenas on Instagram, often commenting with expressions of astonishment like “wowww elenaaaa” on her photos.

LSU has a number of high-profile athletes, including fellow Georgian Olivia Dunne and basketball stars Hailey Van Lith and Angel Reese. Reese recently became only the second collegiate athlete to pose for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue.

The 20-year-old made headlines when she responded to criticism of her figure by appearing on the cover of the May Issue.

“People always comment stuff that they would never say to your face, so part of it is just having developed tough skin. Social media is hard,’ she told SI Swimsuit.

“I think it’s important to stand up for yourself. Maybe it’s the Jersey girl in me, but I think girls need to know it [isn’t] OK [for people to say that], especially [because I’m] posting things that any other college kid would post in.

“[Or I’m in] a leotard – which is the required uniform for being a gymnast. It’s ridiculous.”

“There are always people who want to downplay your success and say it’s just because of how you look or it’s just luck.”
