Apparently, Meredith Mickelson, ex-girlfriend of Matty Healy, was ‘blindsided’ to learn he was seeing Taylor Swift only four weeks after they broke up.

In February, musician Matty spent many days locked in a recording studio with Taylor, even staying at Taylor’s house while he was in America and returning to Meredith’s home once the recording sessions were over.
Matty, 34, of The 1975, and Taylor, 33, of Taylor Swift, were spotted kissing on a date in New York City earlier this month, making their relationship official.
Meredith allegedly had “no idea” that he was getting closer to Taylor, and the model was overheard saying to her friends, “I hope he treats her better than he treated me.”
“She did not see this coming at all. All the time Matty was in the studio with Taylor, she thought nothing of it. He’d spend the day in the studio and then come home to her.”
“Things were going well until around March 29 then, out of the blue, he stopped replying to messages and calls.”
“He just ghosted her and that was it. Then, four weeks later, he went public with Taylor.”
“She was totally blindsided and, of course, it has stung her a bit. She doesn’t want to play the victim and has no intention of saying anything publicly.”

People close to Meredith said that they were “quite angry” at him for the way he had treated her, and that “he is not a good guy.”
On Thursday, May 11th, a fan caught Matty and Taylor on a double date at Casa Cipriani in New York with Swift’s collaborator Jack Antonoff and his fiancée Margaret Qualley, confirming the couple’s romance.
A patron at the celebrity hangout told Page Six that she saw Swift and Healy sitting next to each other in the lounge, with “security all around them.”
They were “cuddling and kissing” while they waited for their food, the source said of Swift and the 1975 frontman.
Swift’s shocking breakup with British actor Joe Alwyn earlier this month prompted romance rumors between her and Healy.
Matt has been appearing at recent shows on the Eras Tour, which began in March with the Anti-Hero singer as support.
