Recently, Nicole Williams English made headlines as the first pregnant model to appear in Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit Issue.

Nicole Williams English is her own best advertiser as the face of the Nia Lynn Collection x Sports Illustrated Swimsuit partnership

She went to Dominica, a Caribbean island, to shoot her 2023 Rookie issue cover layout.

The WAGS LA actress just gave birth to her daughter, India Moon, and is using her post-baby body to promote the new Nia Lynn x Sports Illustrated Swimsuit collaboration. India Moon is now four months old.

All of this came to fruition after Nicole Lynn Williams, aka Williams English, pitched the idea of making her own swimsuit to wear at Miami Swim Week last July, and Sports Illustrated enthusiastically agreed.

She posted many pictures and a short video to Instagram in which she poses in a variety of brightly colored bikinis and one-piece swimsuits.

“Are you ready for summer?? @nialynncollection x @si_swimsuit Just dropped!!! Hit the SHOP button in my bio!! ” She captioned a video of herself wearing the swimwear she helped create for a collaboration with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit,” All styles are available NOW!!

Three vintage Body Glove-inspired metallic maillots with the Sports Illustrated logo join a variety of string bikinis, a G-string, and strapless bandeaus in classic swimwear and new seersucker fabrications to round out the 12-piece collaboration collection.

The native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada posed in a wide variety of bikinis, including orange and baby blue, tan and mustard yellow, burgundy and a red and blue pattern, and two-tone orange.

Williams English wore one-piece swimsuits in eye-catching colors including electric blue, scarlet, burgundy, mustard yellow, and a red and dark blue pattern, and she was her own greatest advertiser.

“My biggest dream and career goal was to be a Sports Illustrated rookie — my whole entire career I waited for this moment. Over 20 years — being a swimwear model and living in New York, that was my ultimate dream; it’s a huge accomplishment.”

Williams English had been running her own swimwear company since 2017, releasing four seasons in limited quantities.

When the catwalk queen finally agreed to work with SI, she wouldn’t waste any time.

“I got to work on a suit and I only had four days to make it. I sketched the whole suit, designed it and actually took an old pattern from my first collection and tweaked it and added the rookie logo to it. It was the most popular suit of my first collection that everybody was just so obsessed with, so I brought it back in gold metallic and mesh with black letters with ‘rookie’ across the front. That’s where it all started.”

She went on to design the rest of the Nia Lynn x Sports Illustrated Swimsuit collection after the SI staff was so impressed by her rookie suit.

Williams English stated her desire for ‘completely fresh designs’ containing’sexy suits’ that could compete with the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’s established credibility.

In an Instagram post, she wrote, “I am so extremely proud of this collaboration and so excited to share it with you all finally!!!” she shared on Instagram. “To combine my passion for design and my career goal of being a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie has been an absolute DREAM COME TRUE! I hope you love this collection as much as I do!!’

The swimwear line’s online store and Instagram page both have a variety of bikinis that range in price from $72 to $152.
