The singer-songwriter was shown in a flattering bikini photo on the left and a more realistic one on the right.

Amy Sheppard has posted candid photos of herself in a bikini on social media following her weight gain

The 32-year-old woman in both pictures is seen wearing the identical black and white striped animal print bikini.

‘Posted vs. deleted. You know the story: same person, same day’ the singer captioned.

‘There is nothing wrong with either photo but one is curated and the other is candid. Next time you scroll through your favourite influencer’s feed keep this in mind.’

Amy posted a photo of herself before and after her weight gain in another side by side photo set last week.

In her caption, she wrote: ‘I’VE PUT ON WEIGHT… DON’T PITY ME This is not ‘toxic fat’. This soft, juicy, extra layer is FREEDOM.

‘It’s dinner out with my beautiful friends; it’s a romantic walk to get ice cream with my partner; it’s saying YES to new foods when traveling.’

‘It’s feeling satisfied every day instead of deprived and irritated every day’ the performer continued.

‘This extra weight is my life, and there’s no way I could ever trade it for a tiny pair of jeans again.’

Amy previously advocated for body positivity by collaborating with Body Image Movement’s Taryn Brumfitt on her latest film, Embrace: Kids.

She said it was’really important’ for her to join the campaign because she was taught as a child that you had to look a certain way to be worthy.

She explained to the Herald Sun: ‘It’s taken me a long time to work it out and really start to feel my worth in who I am as a person rather than just how I look.’

Sheppard will discuss her “light bulb moment,” which was posting an unfiltered bikini photo to Instagram.

Amy is an advocate for body positivity and recently responded to trolls who said her cellulite “isn’t normal” and “shouldn’t be normalized.”

Along with the soundbite, she shared several examples of offensive comments she received on TikTok: ‘Am I going to cry? Am I about to cry? No… okay.’
