The hit ITV2 program is returning to our screens on June 5 with a slew of new singles, and Yorkshire native Molly Marsh is in final talks to join the cast.
A new Love Island competitor with an impressive acting resume will step into the legendary villa in the forthcoming season
The upcoming series of the popular ITV2 show will be heated by the addition of Molly Marsh, the daughter of soap queen Janet Marsh, which will premiere on June 5.
When 24-year-old pantomime performer and social media sensation visited the winter Love Island villa earlier this year, she drew the attention of television executives.
A reliable source let slip: “Molly was scouted after visiting the villa in South Africa earlier this year.
“She was on the tour as an invited guest when she caught the eyes of producers. Molly made it clear she would love to be a part of Love Island, and she was told to audition.
“After going through the process, she’s now a shoo-in to fly to Mallorca later this month. She is a star on the rise and comes from a showbiz family—her mum Janet even had small roles on Coronation Street and Still Open All Hours.”
Molly is used to being in the spotlight, having starred in several stage productions and receiving critical acclaim for her work in productions such as Oliver! and Sleeping Beauty on national tour.
She has amassed over 25,000 Instagram followers because to her fascinating performances and intriguing updates about her recent excursions exploring the Love Island mansion.
The insider added that out of the hundreds of applicants, Love Island producers have narrowed it down to a select group of 25, with the final lineup to be released soon.
