A 3 year-old girl from Dublin, Ireland has become a viral sensation after video of her having a hilarious conversation with her imaginary friend on the phone made the rounds on the internet.
Little Daisy Healy has her own YouTube channel called Crazy Daisy. In a recent video, her father Alan filmed her talking to her imaginary friend on a landline phone. Daisy shows a range of funny facial expressions as she has a lengthy conversation with this imaginary friend, who she calls her great nana.
“I am very hungry and I was thirsty and all, like. Daddy keeps taking photos and it’s very mad,” Daisy said on the phone. “I’m like ‘don’t do it Daddy… I’m not doing it, I’m not doing it.’”
“And she said: ‘Here I am!’” Daisy continued. “I’m just going with myself. Do you know where I’m going? I’m going to the park. I’m just driving this, or no I’m not, because all of that was Daddy – Daddy keeps taking photos.”
Alan finally asks Daisy if she’s ready to go, so the little girl tells her great nana, “We’re just going!” before she hangs up the phone.
Daisy has had the channel since she was a baby, and her antics have left people all over the world amused.
“A few people kept saying, you need to get Daisy her own YouTube channel – so I did,” Alan said. He added that none of the videos are staged for the channel.
“I would often come into the sitting room and find her recreating a day in her creche, with all the dolls sitting on chairs and Daisy playing the role of teacher,” Alan said. “She’s actually hates when I take out the phone to record a video of her, so none of the videos have ever been staged. While Daisy is chatty and outgoing, she can also be ‘very shy around new people, but she will warm up to them after a while.”
Daisy’s two older siblings are in drama school, and many think the toddler will be headed there soon herself!
“Maybe she will follow this path,” Alan said. “but I’m not going to force her to do anything.”
